Processing - Adobe Suite - Kinect
April | 2019 (7 Weeks)
Through this investigation, I worked in processing to manipulate video, images and to create interactivity for people to view art in different ways. The goal for this was to experiment with different types of interactions, to see which attracted the user the most, both visually and emotionally.
Pixel movement is my favourite method of removing identity from an image or video. With the use of colour, we can take any image or video, and see the content through an unbiased filter. The digital destruction allows for the user to see new forms and abstractions, through any given content. With the feature on interactivity, users are able to move their mouse over areas of the footage, to pull new colours to be manipulated. This element adds connectivity, which gives the destruction some control.
Lighting is everything. The render above is the perfect example of lighting creating a moody narrative. By adding a focused light in the scene, it attracts both the users eyes, and gives all of the elements a focus area. This creates direction and motion in a static image.
